Vol. 262 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin Dental Hospital.

14.

asked the Minister for Health if it has been decided to establish the new Dublin dental hospital at Merrion Road; and if he will state the approximate date of establishment.

The establishment and siting of a new Dublin dental hospital is at present being considered by the Minister for Education. Pending a decision on these questions it is not possible to indicate the likely date of establishment of a new hospital.

May I put it to the Minister that it is urgent to establish a new dental hospital in view of the possibility, or the probability, of an adverse report by the General Dental Council in relation to the present facilities?

It is a matter of urgency and the Minister for Health is pressing the Minister for Education in the matter.
