asked the Minister for Defence if he will make a statement on the report that the military police in the Curragh Camp are being required to work 75 hours per week.

I assume the Deputy is referring to an article which appeared in an Irish Sunday newspaper on 2nd July, 1972. The report is not correct. The number of hours which members of the Military Police Corps employed at the Detention Barracks, Curragh Training Camp, are currently required to work does not normally exceed 45 per week.
