asked the Minister for Finance the yield from (a) income tax, (b) PAYE, (c) sur-tax for each year from 1965; and the percentage growth for each category over the period.

The growth under each head between 1965-66 and 1971-72 was 183.9 per cent for income tax, 307.9 per cent for income tax collected under PAYE and 67.5 per cent for sur-tax.
