Vol. 263 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Manufacture of LSD.

29.

asked the Minister for Health the steps he has taken and the results to date in the investigation of illicit manufacturers of LSD following information given on the manufacture of this substance by the College of Pharmacy.

I presume that the question relates to the information furnished through the Dean of Studies, College of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland, referred to in paragraph 3.5 of the Report of the Working Party on Drug Abuse.

I am informed that, from investigations which they have carried out from time to time, the Garda have found no evidence of the illicit manufacture of LSD in this country and that such supplies of the substance as are available have come from illicit sources outside the country.
