It is presumed that the Deputy's question refers to mentally handicapped children. An Bord Altranais conducts an approved course of training for nurses of the mentally handicapped. This course covers the care and training of mentally handicapped children of all ages. An Bord also conducts courses for the training of public health nurses which include training in duties relating to the care of mentally handicapped children of all ages at home.
