andMr. Meaney asked the Minister for Education the position in regard to the proposed new primary school at Blarney, County Cork.

A grant has been sanctioned towards the cost of the proposed new primary school at Blarney and it is hoped to have the working drawings and bills of quantities submitted for approval to the Commissioners of Public Works this month. When these documents have been accepted as satisfactory arrangements will be made to invite tenders for the erection of the school.

andMr. G. FitzGerald asked the Minister for Education if he is aware of the need to provide a new primary school at Ballingeary, County Cork; and if his Department will take steps to expedite the matter.

My Department are awaiting documentary evidence of title to the site for the proposed new central school at Ballingeary, County Cork. When this is available a grant will be sanctioned.
