Vol. 263 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Drogheda School Site.

74.

asked the Minister for Education if he is satisfied that a site on the Ballymakenny Road, Drogheda, County Louth is suitable for a girls' school; or whether he considers that the school should be situated closer to the centre of population.

I am satisfied that the site at Ballymakenny Road, Drogheda, is suitable for the proposed new Presentation Convent girls' primary school. It was not found possible to obtain a site nearer the centre of the town. The site which has been approved by the Commissioners of Public Works is situated in a developing area in the suburbs of Drogheda.
