Vol. 263 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - St. Patrick's College, Maynooth.

102.

asked the Minister for Education whether any plans for the future government of St. Patrick's College, Maynooth, are before him or the Higher Education Authority for consideration.

No such plans have been submitted to me or to the Higher Education Authority for consideration. The Deputy will be aware that in their Report on University Reorganisation, which is at present being examined in all its aspects, the authority reached the general conclusion that St. Patrick's College, Maynooth, should be statutorily provided for by associating it as a university college with the Dublin city university complex or by constituting it as an independent university.
