Vol. 263 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Cork Loan.

35.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries if a loan has been given by a financial institution to a firm (name supplied) in Cork; and, if so, the amount involved and the terms under which the loan was given.

Offers of loans amounting to a combined total of £2 million, with a State guarantee, have been made to the firm by the Agricultural Credit Corporation and the Industrial Credit Company. The terms of the loans are for settlement between the lenders and the borrower.

Would the Parliamentary Secretary state if, in fact, this loan was given free of interest?

I have no such information.

Can the Parliamentary Secretary give me that information privately?
