As the Deputy is doubtless aware the intermittent unemployment—commonly called the "wet-time"—scheme is one confined to workers in the building, civil engineering, and painting trades. The redundancy payments scheme comprehends all persons between 16 and 70 years insured for all benefits under the Social Welfare Acts.
Persons in the "wet-time" scheme would also be covered for insurance for all benefits under the Social Welfare Acts and the full stamp payable would include the contribution for the redundancy scheme. The question therefore, if I interpret the Deputy correctly, of making "wet-time" stamps reckonable for the redundancy payments scheme does not appear to arise.
