asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state in respect of himself and his Parliamentary Secretary (a) the number of visits abroad since 1st September, 1971, and (b) the purpose and total cost of each visit.

The information sought by the Deputy is in the form of a tabular statement which, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, I propose to circulate with the Official Report.

Minister:

1. TO STOCKHOLM:

Purpose: To attend the United Nations Conference on the Human Environment as head of the Irish delegation.

Cost: £566.

2. TO MUNICH:

Purpose: To attend part of the Olympic Games.

Cost: £305.

3. TO BONN:

Purpose: To attend Meeting of EEC Ministers on Environment.

Cost: £133.
