asked the Minister for Education if a primary or secondary school pupil has the right to opt out of learning Irish as a school subject without resulting sanctions against that pupil in obtaining the intermediate, group or leaving certificate.

I would refer the Deputy to replies to similar questions on 3rd March, 1971, 1st December, 1971 and 14th March, 1972.
