Vol. 263 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions Oral Answers. - Lorries Inspection.

143.

asked the Minister for Justice the number of lorries officially inspected on roads in Ireland during 1971; the percentage which were found carrying more than their legally permitted load; and the number of prosecutions that resulted.

The information, to the extent that it is available, would have to be specially compiled from records kept at local level and I do not consider that its value would justify the expenditure of Garda time that would be necessary to assemble it.
