Vol. 263 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions Oral Answers. - Ministerial Visits Abroad.

153.

asked the Minister for Justice (a) the number of visits abroad by him since 1st September, 1971, and (b) the purpose and total cost of each visit.

With the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, I propose to circulate with the Official Report a statement giving the information re-requested in so far as it relates to official visits.

Following is the statement:

Number of visits

Purpose

Total Cost

Three

(1) To address the Consultative Assembly of the Council of Europe at Strasbourg on 20th January, 1972, on the subject of the controls on firearms and explosives.

(1) £93.90

(2) To attend the seventh Conference of European Ministers for Justice held in Basle on 15th-18th May, 1972.

(2) £161.38

(3) To address the Emerald Association, New York, on 24th October, 1972.

(3)Not yet available

If I might at this stage, a Cheann Comhairle, draw the Minister's attention to Question No. 116. I think the Minister's file was missing.

I am afraid it was folded into one of the other files. I am now not sure which one it was, but I have the reply.
