Vol. 263 No. 13

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin Road Traffic.

150.

asked the Minister for Local Government how often evaluations of road traffic conditions with a view towards their improvement are carried out; and when the next evaluation of Dublin city traffic and roads will be carried out.

The evaluation of road traffic conditions and the formulation of proposals for their improvement is a continuing process. Studies on particular aspects have been carried out by consultants on behalf of Dublin Corporation from time to time, covering such matters as improvements to the road system, parking, and traffic on radial routes. A report by consultants on traffic management within the line of the canals is, I understand, at present being prepared for the corporation.
