Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Galway Rural Electrification.

35.

asked the Minister for Transport and Power when a person (name supplied) in County Galway will be supplied with electric light.

I am informed by the ESB that the person in question requires the electricity supply for his new house at Kilcurriff, Cummer, County Galway, which is in the board's Cummer rural area. In accordance with the current plans for the completion of the rural electrification programme by 1975 the Cummer rural area is due for development about the middle of next year. Advertisements will be published in the local newspapers beforehand inviting unsupplied residents in the area to apply for connection. Those who apply for supply and accept the terms quoted will be supplied with the minimum delay.

Will the Minister be there for the switch-on?

Oh, yes.
