Vol. 264 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Galway Factory Premises.

55.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he is aware that there are two vacant factory premises at Ballygar, County Galway; and the proposals, if any, for their use.

I am aware that at present there are two vacant factory premises at Ballygar, County Galway.

As I have recently announced, the Industrial Development Authority have concluded negotiations for the establishment of a project for the manufacture of ladies' outerwear garments in one of these premises. The project is expected initially to employ 40 workers, rising to 100 at full production in about three years.

The authority are continuing their efforts to get an industry for the second premises.
