Vol. 264 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Local Authority Social Workers.

80.

asked the Minister for Local Government the number of (a) qualified and (b) unqualified social workers employed by each local authority.

The information is not immediately available in my Department in the form requested by the Deputy but it is being compiled and will be forwarded to him as soon as possible.

The remaining questions will appear on the next day's Order Paper.

In view of the fact that a number of these questions have been on the Order Paper for several weeks and that today's business does not appear to be terribly urgent, would the House consider finishing the questions today? What objection has the Minister for Transport and Power to finishing the questions?

There is very important business to be done.

You have to achieve Irish unity within three months.

That is not what I was told.

It does not give much time if you have to drain the Shannon and achieve Irish unity within three months.
