asked the Minister for Finance the total number of (a) part-time and (b) other (i.e. neither full-time nor part-time) employees at peak periods during the financial years 1970 and 1971 in respect of the Irish National Stud Company Limited.

The Irish National Stud Company Limited has one peak period which occurs in the spring of each year. The number of temporary employees at this period was ten in 1970 and 16 in 1971. All other employees were engaged on a permanent basis.

asked the Minister for Finance (a) the total number of full-time employees and (b) the total payroll expenditure including directors' fees and employers' superannuation and social welfare contributions of the Irish National Stud Company Limited at (1) 31st December, 1970 and (2) 31st December, 1971.

The total number of full-time employees of the Irish National Stud Company Limited was 41 at 31st December, 1970 and 38 at 31st December, 1971. The total payroll expenditure was £46,600 for 1970 and £42,500 for 1971.
