Can the Taoiseach say if it is proposed to nominate representatives to the European Parliament before the Dáil adjourns?
Having taken the Attorney General's advice, I understand that each House of the Oireachtas has to formally nominate the representatives. I suggest this might be done tomorrow and, assuming that the Seanad is sitting tomorrow, it can be done there too.
On the Order of Business, I propose, with your permission a Cheann Comhairle, to raise on the Adjournment the subject matter of Question No. 49 on 12th December, in view of the unsatisfactory nature of the Minister's reply.
