As I indicated in reply to a question on 28th March, 1973, I intend to consult the Government regarding proposals for a Misuse of Drugs Bill.
As the question of penalties for drug offences generally will arise in the context of the Bill it would be premature for me to make a statement at this stage on the nature of penalties for particular offences.
Could the Minister inform the House when he may be in a position to make a statement?
