With your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions Nos. 53 and 54 together. It would be premature to formulate proposals in regard to multiple assembly of armoured personnel carriers in this country until a prototype has been produced and has undergone extensive trails and a definitive specification for the carrier has been settled. The production of one such vehicle for trial purposes is well advanced.
