Vol. 265 No. 3

Written Answers. - County Cork Housing Grant.

370.

asked the Minister for Local Government if, in view of the delay in paying a new house grant to a person (name supplied) in County Cork, he will have the matter expedited.

There was no undue delay in dealing with this application. Work on the house commenced in January, 1972, but the application for a grant was not received in my Department until 14th November, 1972. A grant of £325 was allocated on 23rd November and an instalment of £200 was paid on 11th January. The Department was informed in February that the work was completed. The house was inspected and the balance of £125 was paid on 19th April.
