asked the Minister for Finance the estimates for the financial years 1973-74 for (a) tax revenue (excluding motor vehicle duties) (b) motor vehicle duties (c) non-tax revenue and (d) debt service and other central fund charges, compiled on the same basis as that used for the figures given under these headings in the Table Explanatory of the Current Budget 1972 issued by the Department of Finance on 19th April 1972.

Under Article 28 of the Constitution estimates of receipts and expenditure are prepared each year and presented to Dáil Éireann for consideration. It has been the normal practice to present them shortly before the Budget. I do not intend to depart from this practice.
When does the Minister think we will have them?
It will be some time next week.
