Vol. 266 No. 4

Business of Dáil.

There was a suggestion before Question Time of some agreement having been reached between the Government Whip and the Chief Whip of this party that the business of the House would conclude at 5 p.m. I would like to place on the record that there was no such agreement reached between Deputy Kelly and me.

No, there was no such suggestion. Anybody who was in the House this morning would have heard what actually happened, that the suggestion involved the former Taoiseach and this side of the House. The Whips did not come into it at all.

I am not being contentious about it.

We finished with that matter before Question Time. The Chair said that must be the final word on that matter, and that is it.
