Committee on Finance. - Fóir Teoranta (Amendment) Bill, 1973: Committee and Final Stages.

SECTION 2.
Question proposed: "That section 2 stand part of the Bill."

The purpose of this is to increase the limit on aggregate borrowing by Fóir Teoranta from £7.5 million to £17.5 million.

SECTION 3.
Question proposed: "That section 3 stand part of the Bill."

The purpose of this section is to increase the limit on the power of the Minister for Finance to make advances to Fóir Teoranta from £7.5 million to £17.5 million, the limit corresponding to the limits of the aggregate borrowing power of the company.

SECTION 4.
Question proposed: "That section 4 stand part of the Bill."

The figure of £1,142,000 corresponds to the following investments inherited from Taiscí Stáit Teoranta which are now worthless: Aviation Development Limited £955,105; Cloth Manufacturers Limited £77,000, and the Fenian Gun Company of Ireland Limited, £34,747.
