Vol. 266 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin Pedestrian Crossing.

77.

asked the Minister for Local Government if there are any proposals with his Department for the provision of a pedestrian crossing at the junction of Bunting Road, Wallace Road, and Harty Avenue, Walkinstown, Dublin; and, if not, if he will take the necessary steps to provide one as the crossing is very dangerous and as a number of schoolchildren have been injured at it.

There are no such proposals before my Department. I would repeat for the Deputy's information that the provision of pedestrian crossings is a matter for the road authority concerned acting at the request or with the consent of the Garda Commissioner. I will, however, bring the Deputy's question to the notice of the road authority.
