Vol. 267 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Cork Letter Box.

56.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will take steps to restore a letter box at Pike cross, Charleville, County Cork, adjacent to the factory.

The letterbox at Pike Cross was withdrawn in December, 1969, because postings were negligible. I have no evidence that more use would now be made of a letterbox there or nearby, and I therefore do not intend at present to restore the letterbox. If the Deputy has any evidence that more use would be made of a letterbox at Pike Cross than was made when it was withdrawn I shall be glad to reconsider the matter.
