Vol. 267 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Television Boosters.

69.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs the areas in which it is proposed to set up television boosters in the next two years in an effort to provide proper television reception in those areas.

As stated in my reply of 21st June, 1973, to questions by Deputies Cunningham, Daly, Davern, Fahey and Kenneally about the question of television reception in various areas, RTE say that they have completed a detailed examination of the general position and they hope to formulate plans shortly for dealing with it. Pending consideration of these plans it is not possible to give a list of the areas where television transmitters or transposers will be provided in the next two years. Arrangements are, however, in hand to provide transposers at Rosscarbery and Clonakilty this year.
