Vol. 267 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Waste Oil Collection.

49.

asked the Minister for Local Government if there is more than one company prepared to collect waste oil free; and, if not, if he will circulate farmers, garages and others who might wish to avail of this service.

I do not know how many companies provide this service but information given to my Department suggests that there may be more than one company prepared to collect waste oil.

Local authorities are responsible for water pollution control and waste disposal in their areas and it would not be appropriate for me to approach farmers, garages and others as requested by the Deputy.
