Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Tractor Prices.
With your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, I propose to circulate in the Official Report a tabular statement giving the increases in the retail prices of these tractors in the period 1st October, 1972, to 30th September, 1973. The information is based on an analysis of the prices of the most prominently used makes of tractor.
As regards the average increase in price, the Deputy will appreciate that to take a simple average would be misleading whereas the calculation of a weighted average would require information as to the volume sales at retail level of the various makes which is not readily available.
Following is the statement:—
INCREASES in tractor retail prices in period 1st October, 1972, to 30th September, 1973.
