Vol. 268 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Child Resistant Containers.

35.

asked the Minister for Health if he will make regulations concerning child-resistant containers for such products as asprin.

The National Drugs Advisory Board, in conjunction with the Pharmaceutical, Chemical and Allied Industries Association, are actively considering the feasibility of providing child-resistant closures on containers for medicines, including aspirin.

When I have received a report from the board on the result of these considerations, I will consider what action, if any, I should take in the matter.
