Vol. 268 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Disability Benefit.

49.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare why disability benefit has not been paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

It was decided by a deciding officer that the person referred to by the Deputy is not entitled to disability benefit as he has been engaged in work which disqualifies him from receiving benefit. He was notified of his right to appeal against the decision but an appeal has not so far been received from him. If he submits a formal appeal I will have the question referred to an appeals officer for determination.
