Vol. 268 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin Toilet Extension.

99.

asked the Minister for Local Government if his Department will agree to the retention of the toilet extension at Keeper Road, Crumlin, Dublin.

This is a matter for Dublin Corporation. I understand that planning permission was granted but that approval under the building bylaws has been withheld on the grounds that the roof joists proposed are of inadequate size for the span.

I understand this facility is required there. Is it entirely a matter for the local authority to fix it up with the contractor?

I thought the matter came before the Minister.

We might tidy it up in the new Planning Bill.

It is time for a new Bill, I admit.
