asked the Minister for Local Government when he will announce his proposals to set up an independent commission to deal with planning appeals.

129.

asked the Minister for Local Government the amendment of the law he proposes in regard to planning appeals.

With the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions Nos. 128 and 129 together. The Local Government (Planning and Development) Bill will be circulated very shortly. It will contain my proposals for amendment of planning law and in the meantime I do not propose to give particulars of its provisions.
