Vol. 270 No. 14

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - National Parks and Monuments.

162.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will establish an agency which will be responsible for the administration of the country's parks and national monuments and which will be flexible enough to include caves, forts, battlefields, birthplaces, seashores, parkways, sand dunes, etc. including the childhood home of the former President at Bruree, County Limerick.

Mr. Kenny

I consider that the existing organisation in the National Parks and Monuments Branch of the Office of Public Works is flexible enough to deal with the matters mentioned by the Deputy.
