asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries when he expects that Directive 161/72 will be implemented in this country.
With your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions Nos. 194 and 195 together.
As the proposals submitted to the EEC Commission in this matter are rather lengthy I am arranging to have some copies placed in the Library of the House and will supply one to the Deputy. As an opinion has yet to be given on these proposals by the EEC Commission as required by Article 10 of the directive, I cannot indicate at this stage the final form in which the directive will be implemented or when that will take place.
