asked the Minister for Local Government if he is aware that the dump at Coolnacuppague, Tramore, County Waterford constituties a health hazard; if he will take steps to close it and to kill existing vermin in the area; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I have recently advised all local authorities on ways and means of improving dumping standards and efficiency. I have, however, no functions in regard to the way in which particular dumps are managed: that is a matter for the local authority concerned.

What about the cockroaches? The Minister for Justice——

That kind of remark should be beneath the Deputy.
