The National Prices Commission have engaged consultants to ascertain the levels of fees paid to architects, quantity surveyors and other professional persons, excluding lawyers, as part of the cost of buildings and the appropriateness of these levels of fees. Particular attention will be paid to fees arising out of public contracts. It is expected that the results of this study will be available in September next. The commission have also engaged consultants to carry out a study of auctioneer's fees and the results of this study are expected in the near future.
