Vol. 272 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Tipperary Estate.

27.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will explain the cause of the delay in reopening negotiations for the acquisition of the Ryan estate at Ballymoreen and Rathinch, Littleton, Thurles, County Tipperary.

(Cavan): The Land Commission have been unable to bring these proceedings to finality, initially because clear possession of the house and lands was not forthcoming and subsequently because the owner of the property repudiated the agreement which had been reached on price.

The Land Commission are at present considering the matter having regard to the legal position and it is expected that a decision will be made shortly.
