Vol. 272 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Cattle Subsidy Payments.

5.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries the reason for the delay in the issue of export subsidy payments to exporters of live cattle.

In the case of the subsidy on exports to the UK there is no delay and all properly documented claims for payment are being met as they arise. In the case of subsidy on exports to non-EEC countries the amounts due to exporters in most cases are counter-balanced by amounts due by exporters in respect of monetary compensatory export charges.
