Vol. 272 No. 13

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Cork School.

31.

asked the Minister for Education if it is the intention of his Department to close Castleview national school, Macroom, County Cork; if he has discussed the closure with the parents concerned; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The question of the amalgamation of Castleview national school with Toames national school has been under consideration for some time in the context of a general reorganisation of the schools in the parish. It has been decided however to continue recognition to Castleview national school for a further year to 30th June, 1975. The matter of the most suitable arrangement to be made as from 1st July, 1975, will be considered in the meantime.
