Vol. 273 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Kilganey (Waterford) Cottage Purchase.

21.

asked the Minister for Local Government the reason for the long delay in completing the purchase of a cottage at Kilganey, County Waterford, in respect of a tenant (name supplied); and when the purchase money was paid.

The day-to-day administration of their housing estate is primarily the responsibility of each local authority and is not a matter in which I can intervene. However I understand that because of the large volume of cases to be dealt with there has been delay in the completion of documentation affecting the sale of houses to tenants in County Waterford. In the case referred to by the Deputy, it is expected that the transfer order will be executed shortly. The purchase money was paid on 13th August, 1973.
