The difficulties in filling the post of medical officer in Ballina District Hospital were discussed by my Department with officers of the Western Health Board on 15th May. Following this discussion, a proposal to advertise this post on better terms has been put to the board. When the board have considered this, I will arrange that steps will be taken urgently to readvertise the post.
