Vol. 275 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Imported Waste Paper.

9.

asked the Taoiseach the cost of imported waste paper.

The value of imports of waste paper in the year 1973 was £416,000 and in the nine months January to September, 1974, is provisionally estimated at £387,000.

Would the Parliamentary Secretary agree it would be a viable thing to collect wastepaper separately in the various refuse collections, at least in the urban areas——

The Deputy is embarking on policy which is not a matter for the Parliamentary Secretary.

Would the Parliamentary Secretary give the tonnage of wastepaper imported?

I am not sure if I have that. I do not believe I have.

Would the Parliamentary Secretary not give it from the top of his head as usual?

The questions the Deputy asks usually come from the soles of his feet.
