asked the Minister for Local Government if he will give particulars of the fees payable by local authorities to the National Building Agency in respect of local authority dwellings being built by the agency on their behalf.

The National Building Agency's current charge to local authorities for design, contract documents, contract management, site supervision and the preparation of final accounts of building cost is 5 per cent. A lesser charge is agreed where part of the service, e.g. supervision, is carried out by the local authority directly.
