Vol. 276 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Cork Flooding.

29.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he is aware of serious flooding on lands adjacent to Glenbeg Lake near Ardgroom Village, County Cork as a result of the manner in which the level of the lake was considerably raised by Cork County Council when taking a water supply to service the Castletownbere area; and if he will make arrangements with Cork County Council either to alleviate the flooding or compensate the landowners.

I have no function in this matter. Any difficulties of the kind mentioned by the Deputy would be for resolution between the county council and the landowners concerned.
