Law Reform Commission Bill, 1975: Referral to Special Committee.

Attorney General (Mr. Costello)

I move:

That the Law Reform Commission Bill, 1975 be referred to a Special Committee consisting of eleven Members to be nominated by the Committee of Selections;

That the quorum of the Committee be six; and

That the first meeting of the Committee be held on 12th February, 1975.

I understood it was suggested that the first meeting of the committee would be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, 12th February.

I would prefer if we left the fixing of the time over for the moment.

Mr. Costello

I think the time has to be fixed now.

Mr. O'Malley

Not before Wednesday.

Mr. Costello

I think the Standing Orders provide that you have to state the date.

I take it the committee could just adjourn.

We could probably name the Members on Thursday.
