Vol. 279 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Pension Payment Arrears.

23.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he will arrange for the payment of all moneys due from his Department to a person (details supplied) in County Kildare.

The person concerned is an insured worker under Irish and British legislation and consequently her pension entitlements fall to be determined under EEC regulations by both countries. Pending notification by the British authorities of their final determination of her British pension entitlement it is not possible for my Department to assess the amount of arrears that may be payable in her case. The British authorities have been requested to expedite their determination.
