It is a matter for Dublin Corporation to consider whether any such proposal should be initiated and it would not be appropriate for me to make any recommendation to them on the subject.
Could the Minister say if this type of proposal would be normally acceptable to his Department if the corporation took the initiative?
Since it has not been done, I could not tell the Deputy. Quite frankly, I do not know. I would not be able to answer that question because it would be a ‘first' and I would have to see what would be the regulations were it done.
